United Financial CU Freeland Walleye Fest 5K/10K 2017 Overview
United Financial Credit Union is proud to present the 8th Annual Freeland Walleye Festival Race for 2017! Join several hundred participants in running and/or walking USATF sanctioned 10k and 5k road courses. Or run along with the kids on a 1 Mile trail fun run course. A portion of proceeds from this race go to benefitting We will once again be racing on a Thursday night at Tittabawassee Township Park with all adult participants receiving one free weekend entry to the Fish Tent when showing their race bib!
This race is being organized as part of the 32nd annual Freeland Walleye Festival through a joint effort between United Financial Credit Union, TriToFinish, Walleye Festival Organizers and Tittabawassee Township with proceeds being placed back into the Freeland community through the Freeland Lions Club, a 501c3 charitable organization.
Situated on "Old Midland" Road just north of the intersection with M-47, Tittabawassee Park is the site of the Start and Finish to this FLAT out and back country road course. 5K and 10K runners will exit the park heading northwest on Old Midland Road before turning slight right onto N. Gleaner Rd after a short distance. 5K runners will turn around at the 1.5 mile mark while 10K runners will continue on before turning around where Salzburg Rd crosses N Gleaner Rd.
There will also be a 1 Mile Fun Run that will take place on the Frisbee Golf Trails within Tittabawassee Park. Please note that ALL youth 1 Mile Fun Run Participants MUST have a “run buddy” age 16 or older to participate.
